Veggie Patty Burger

Ingredients:-


  • 6 burger buns

  • 6 cheese slices

  • 2 tablespoons butter


For Patty:

  • 3 medium potatoes(boiled and diced)

  • 1 medium carrot(boiled and diced)

  • 1/4 cup green peas(boiled)

  • 1/4 cup coriander(chopped)

  • 1 teaspoon green chili paste

  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste

  • Salt to taste

  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder

  • A pinch of soda bi carb

  • 1 tablespoon corn starch

  • 2 tablespoons Oil

  • 1 bowl bread crumbs/ crushed dry pauva


For burger sauce:

Combine the following(except oil) in the blender and blend it:

  • 3 medium tomatoes

  • 1/2 medium red capsicum

  • Salt to taste

  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon sugar (optional)

  • 1 tablespoon Oil


For Mayo Sauce:

Mix the following in a bowl:

  • 4 tablespoons Mayonnaise

  • 2 tablespoons Red chili sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Ketchup


For Salad:

  • 6-8 leaves lettuce

  • 6 tomato slices

Instructions:-

For patty:

  • In a pan, heat oil on a medium flame.

  • Add green chili and ginger paste and sauté for few seconds.

  • Add in boiled potatoes, boiled carrots, boiled peas, salt, pepper, cumin powder,soda-bi-carb and coriander.

  • Add cornflour and mix until well combined.

  • Now form into round patties.

  • Put bread crumbs or crushed dry pauva on a plate.

  • Dab all the patties on it each side, making sure it’s covered properly with crumbs.

  • Heat a flat pan on a medium flame, and arrange all the patties on it.

  • Pour some oil over it, and cook them until crispy and golden brown.


For burger sauce:

  • In a deep pan, heat oil.

  • Add the blended puree and boil it until thickens.

Assembling:

  • Cut a bun from the center.

  • In a pan, heat butter and toss it on both the sides.

  • Now spread about 1 tablespoon of burger sauce on both the halves.

  • Put lettuce leaves on the bottom half.

  • Put a patty on it.

  • Add around 1 tablespoon of mayo sauce on the top of it.

  • Add a tomato slice.

  • Add cheese slice.

  • Cover the other half of a bun on it.

  • Serve with sauces and fries.
