Masala Aloo Grilled Sandwich

Ingredients:-


  • 2 potatoes, peeled and small diced

  • 1 carrot, peeled and small diced

  • 1/2 capsicum, small diced

  • 1/2 cup peas

  • 2-3 tablespoons oil

  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds

  • 1 tablespoon chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder

  • 1 tablespoon coriander-cumin powder

  • Salt to taste

  • 1.5 teaspoon sugar

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 2 slice bread

  • 4 teaspoons butter


Instructions:-


  • In a pressure cooker, heat oil, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.

  • Add all the veggies.

  • Now add salt, chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander- cumin powder, sugar and lemon juice.

  • Now close the lid and pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles till the vegetables become tender.

  • Let it cool down.


To make one sandwich:

  • Apply 1 teaspoon butter on each bread (both the sides)

  • Now in a grill sandwich maker, place one bread.

  • Spread generous amount of aloo masala evenly on the bread.

  • Cover it with the other bread.

  • Grill the sandwich until brown.

  • Serve it with fries, ketchup or my chili coriander chutney.
