Mums Tuver Ringan nu Shak


  • 1/2 cup tuver dana

  • 4-5 small eggplant, cut in dice

  • 2 medium potatoes, cut in dice

  • 3 tablespoons oil

  • 1/4 teaspoon asafetida

  • 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder

  • 1/2 cup water (or as needed)

  • 1 tablespoon coriander, chopped


  • In a pressure cooker, heat oil.

  • Add asafetida and all the shaak.

  • Now add in salt, chili powder and turmeric powder and stir it for 1 minute.

  • Add water and mix well. ( make sure water is above the shaak)

  • Pressure cook it until 3 whistles or until soft.

  • Let it cool and then open. (the shaak should be a little bit soupy, if there’s too much water, heat it on a high flame for few minutes until you get desired consistency)

  • Add coriander and serve with bhakri, rice, chaas or yogurt.
