Green Moong Dal Bhajiya


  • 2 cup green moong dal

  • 2 tablespoons coriander, roughly chopped

  • 2-4 green chilies, roughly chopped

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil for frying


  • Wash dal for 3 times and soak for 4-5 hours.

  • Drain the water and grind the moong dal along with roughly chopped green chilies and coriander in a blender to make a slightly coarse batter. (Make sure not to blend it into a smooth paste or else it won't be crispy)

  • Add a tablespoon of water if required.

  • Take out the better in a bowl, add salt and mix with your hands for 5 minutes to make it fluffy.

  • Heat the oil in a pan.

  • When the oil is hot, drop small rounds of the mixture in the oil.

  • Fry the Bhajiya till nicely browned and crispy.

  • Serve immediately with chutneys and fried green chilies sprinkled with salt and chat masala.
