Beet Bean Burger


💛 Ingredients 💛

  • 3 burger buns

  • 3 cheese slices

  • 5-6 Lettuce leaves

  • 5-6 tomato slices

  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • Butter to toast the buns


For patty:

Combine the following to make round patties: ( Then pan fry them on each side until firm)

  • 1 cup grated beetroot

  • 1 can red kidney beans, washed and smashed

  • 2 tablespoons oats (crushed or powder)

  • 1/2 tablespoon corn starch

  • Salt to taste

  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon roasted cumin powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano

  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme

  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili flakes

  • Oil to pan fry


For red sauce:

Combine the following in a blender and blend it: ( Then boil for few minutes )

  • 3 tomatoes

  • 1 dry red chili, soaked

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tablespoon red chili powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar

💚 Instructions 💚

  • Take a bun, cut it from the center and slightly toast on a pan with butter on both sides.

  • Spread about 1 tablespoon of red sauce and mayonnaise over each half.

  • Place lettuce and tomato slices as per your need.

  • Place the beet bean patty over it.

  • Now put a cheese slice on it.

  • Cover it with a bun and serve with fries, drinks, and your favorite sauces.
