Aloo Paratha


💛 Ingredients 💛


For potato filling:

Combine the following in a deep bowl and mix until well combined and make several small balls:

  • 5 potatoes, boiled, peeled and mashed

  • 2 teaspoons salt or to taste

  • 1/4 teaspoon garam masala

  • 3 tablespoons sugar

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste

  • 1 teaspoon green chili paste

  • 1/2 cup coriander, finely chopped


For the dough:

Combine the following to make a semi-soft dough, cover, and let it rest for 10 minutes:

  • 3 cups wheat flour

  • 2 tablespoons oil

  • Salt to taste

  • Water as needed


💚 Instructions 💚

  • Divide the dough into balls.

  • Roll out each ball into a round paratha.

  • Place one stuffing potato ball in the center.

  • Bring all the edges together and pinch to seal the edges.

  • Pressure slightly from the top to flatten the dough ball.

  • Again roll into a bigger size Maratha by putting the least pressure while rolling so the stuffing doesn't come out.

  • Now heat a flat pan and put aloo paratha on it.

  • Cook for one minute and flip on the other side.

  • Apply about 1 tablespoon of ghee/oil on both sides of the paratha.

  • Cook for one minute or until brown on the other side too.

  • Serve hot with yogurt, salsa, pickle, or sauce of your choice.
