Crackling Paneer


💛 INGREDIENTS 💛

For crackling spinach:

  • 4 cups spinach, chopped

  • 3 tablespoons corn flour

  • Oil for frying

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 teaspoon green chili, finely chopped

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds


For paneer:

  • 250 grams paneer, cubes

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon chili sauce

  • 1 tablespoon ketchup

  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste

  • 1 teaspoon green chili paste

  • 1 teaspoon sugar

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 2 tablespoons cornflour + 2 cups water

💚 INSTRUCTIONS 💚


For crackling spinach:

  • Mix cornflour and chopped spinach well until nicely coated.

  • Fry it in a very hot oil until crispy (in small batches)

  • In a pan, heat oil.

  • Add green chilies and fried spinach to it.

  • Add soy sauce, sugar, salt & pepper to it.

  • Toss it well. And sprinkle sesame seeds on top.


For paneer:

  • In a pan, heat oil.

  • Add in paneer cubes, green chili paste, ginger paste, soy sauce, chili sauce, ketchup, sugar , salt, and pepper.

  • Mix until well combined.

  • Add the mixture of corn flour and water.

  • Cook for 3-5 minutes.

  • Serve immediately with crispy spinach.
