Mozzarella balls, sliced
Tomato, sliced
Basil leaves
Olive oil to drizzle
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Oregano to taste
Basil Pesto:
Combine the following in a blender and blend it:
1 cup basil leaves
1 tablespoon pine nuts/walnuts
1/4 cup olive oil
Pinch of salt
For balsamic glaze:
1.5 cup balsamic vinegar.
2 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
💚 Instructions 💚
For balsamic glaze:
In a saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar and honey (brown sugar).
Stir until sugar dissolve and simmer until mixture is reduced by half and starts to thicken.
Cool glaze completely before use.
Assembling:
Arrange tomatoes, mozzarella and basil on a platter in an alternating pattern.
Top each with basil pesto.
Sprinkle salt, pepper and oregano, to taste.
Drizzle the olive oil and balsamic glaze over it.
Serve immediately.
